Gender Inequalities

"GIS Approaches to Gender Analysis” fosters engagement with the newest mapping and GIS application in contemporary issues regarding gender inequalities and nurtures recognition of how institutional global, every day, and intimate spaces are inherently gendered, classed, raced, and sexualized. It demonstrates the spatiality of the politics of gender difference, and the contributions of GIS and spatial analysis to the struggles for equality and social justice.

Spatial Health Inequalities

"Adapting GIS Tools and Data Analysis" demonstrates the spatial health inequalities in the six most important topics in environmental and public health, including food insecurity, birth health outcomes, infectious diseases, children’s lead poisoning, chronic diseases, and health care access.  Each chapter identifies relevant data and data sources, discusses key literature on appropriate techniques, and then illustrates the real data with mapping and GIS techniques.

The Role of GIS in COVID-19 Management and Control

"The Role of GIS in COVID-19 Management and Control" consists of thirteen chapters of selected papers presenting in-depth case studies that adopt GIS and spatial analysis for mapping and analyzing the pandemic in various regions and countries in the world. The global case studies provided in each chapter explore the spread of the pandemic and get directly involved with some of GIS and mapping applications coupled with data science techniques.
