Research Statement
My research interests are Geographic Information Systems, spatial analytical methods, medical geography, landscape ecology, landscape change, and gender equity in STEM. My students and I apply combined field, laboratory, GIS and remote sensing, and computer modeling techniques. I teach GIS courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Adaptations for Sustainable Policies and Increased Recruitment Excellence in Diversity (ASPIRED). National Science Foundation ADVANCE Program. ($1,000,000, funded). Under my leadership, ASPIRED, adapts evidence-based strategies from other ADVANCE institutions to change the institutional climate at the UofM and increase gender equity in recruitment, hiring, retention, and advancement in STEM.
